At its core, this is a movie about friendship and what that bond means. I briefly touched on how both Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditch brought emotion to their characters, but I want to talk about how this movie is so heartfelt. At times it would have been nice if his Mr.Krupp sounded a bit more diabolical, but all in all I was pleased with his voice acting. Then there is Ed Helms as Mr.Krupp/Captain Underpants. Not only do they completely become George and Harold, but they brought some great emotion to their roles as well. These two actors do such a great job in their respective roles. It is based off the first four books in the Captain Underpants saga. Why hire adults to do voice acting for children? I like both Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditch, but they seemed completely miscast. Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie is a 3D CGI superhero comedy film that was produced by DreamWorks Animation. For some reason, everyone seemed off to me. Watching the trailers for this film I was worried about the voice acting. I personally found myself laughing throughout the entire film, despite a few jokes not being up to par.
It looks really cool.Some of the jokes are potty humor (I mean, it IS called Captain Underpants, what did you expect?) but there are also a lot of clever jokes sprinkled throughout which can appeal to pretty much anyone. I did not know that they made a Captain Underpants movie. And after that, George and Harold think that the adventure is over, but there are still other bad guys out there and Captain Underpants will always help them out. Tra-Laa-Laaaaaaaa!!!! This movie really surprised me. But Captain Underpants, along with the help of George and Harold save the school and they defeat the evil Professor Poopypants. Then an evil scientist guy named Professor Poopypants comes to the school and tries to take control of the kids of the school with the help of Melvin Sneedly. Krupp/Captain Underpants back and forth for fun. It stars the voices of Kevin Hart, Ed Helms, Thomas Middleditch and Nick Kroll.
